What an adventure we had at our first ever stall at the local fair! It was a day filled with excitement, despite the weather’s best attempts to dampen our spirits.
As we set up our stall, eager to share our offerings with the community, the sky opened up, showering us with relentless rain. Our gazebo, though valiant in effort, succumbed to the deluge, forming vast pools of water on its roof. We found ourselves in a comical dance, tipping out water only to have it splash back onto us, leaving us drenched but undeterred.
The wind had its fun too, whisking our gazebo away on more than one occasion. But thanks to the collective effort of kind-hearted fairgoers, we managed to secure it back in place each time—a true testament to community spirit!
Although it was chaos, we discovered joy. The children’s laughter echoed through the fairgrounds, unfazed by the noise and bustle. Even Indigo, our four year old who finds solace in quietness, embraced the day with her ear defenders snugly in place and her cozy hidden corner of our stall for quiet time, allowing her to enjoy every moment.
This first experience was a treasure trove of lessons. We’re now brimming with ideas for our next stall—better prepared for whatever weather comes our way and with a clearer vision of what delights our customers. We’re eager to set up shop once again, armed with new insights and an even greater enthusiasm for sharing our passion with the world!
