Why Choose Slow Fashion and Handmade Clothing?

There are many compelling reasons to choose handmade clothing, from the uniqueness of each piece (no two items are exactly the same) to the opportunity to stand out with custom designs and superior quality.

One of the main reasons I love handmade clothing is because it embodies the principles of slow fashion.

What is Slow Fashion?

Slow fashion prioritizes quality over speed. Each piece is carefully crafted to ensure longevity, using high-quality fabrics that stand the test of time. Handmade items are built to last, much like your grandma’s old tin opener that has outlived all the modern ones you’ve bought. These garments can be passed down and worn by multiple children, and last longer for adults who want quality clothing! ultimately saving money in the long run.

The Passion Behind Handmade Clothing

We don’t usually make much profit from handmade clothing, but our passion for creating beautiful, high-quality garments drives us. Each item requires a significant amount of time and effort, and we throughly quality-check every piece before sending it out meaning a real person has spent time checking your clothing!

Since I started making clothes, I’ve noticed many issues with fast fashion, such as weak seams, poor-quality fabrics, and extreme shrinkage.

As someone with AUDHD, I have the advantage of being hyper-focused on my passions, sewing and fabrics are my true loves. This isn’t just a job for me; it’s a labor of love.

Attention to Detail

Before making any item of clothing, I always pre-wash the fabric. This ensures the clothing is clean and prevents the shrinkage often seen with fast fashion.

Why Choose Slow Fashion?

While slow fashion may be a bit more expensive in the short term, it saves money in the long run. You’ll enjoy unique, long-lasting clothing that stands out from the crowd.
